PROGRAM SUMMARY:
To address the immediate needs of the populations affected by the West Sumatera earthquake, Mercy Corps is implementing a three-month emergency response program funded by USAID. The programs aims to address appropriately the immediate NFI, WASH and shelter needs of earthquake-affected populations through the distribution emergency kits, reconstruction kits and water, sanitation and hygiene interventions.
PADANG
1. Project Officer – Emergency Response
Responsible for day to day implementation of the Earthquake Relief project with affected communities in West Sumatera, including liaising with communities, preparing distributions, mobilization, working with government counterparts and writing reports.
Qualifications:
· University degree or college diploma and relevant 2 – 3 years work experience;
· Experience working with communities and/or emergency response projects;
· Some water and sanitation experience preferred’
· Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
· Good in effective time management including priority setting and responding to program needs;
· Effective communication skills.
