FINANCE ASSISTANT in Islamic Relief Worldwide

Islamic Relief Worldwide is an International Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. Islamic Relief has a consultative status (special category) with the economic and Social Council of the United Nations is full member of British Overseas NGOs for Development (BOND) and a signatory to the code of conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief. It seeks to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities through relief and development programmes. Islamic Relief Indonesia is part of Islamic Relief Worldwide which has been working in Indonesia since 2003. Islamic Relief Indonesia provides service and support to the communities in mandate areas, based on the MoU with Department of Home Affairs. There are some initiative sectors under Emergency and Development program such as Shelter, Water and Sanitation, Health and Nutrition, Livelihood,
Orphans, Education, and Disaster Preparedness and Response. Through these sectors, Islamic Relief Indonesia plays significant role in alleviating the suffering and poverty of the world’s poorest people.

Islamic Relief seeks to hire committed and experienced persons for the following positions:

Finance Assistance – Base in Pandeglang / Banten

Overall Responsibility
Responsible for recording and maintaining day to day financial operations, preparation of reports and cash management

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. To assist Finance Officer in different process of financing such as payment of contract, pity-cash maintenance, daily operation cost.
2. Responsible for banking and Correspondences with Bank & Other Financial institutions on the sub office level.
3. Monitor work in progress and supply agreements/contract s, and determine level of performance compared to established standards and timelines.
4. Ensure conformity of project disbursement request with procedures, work plans and availability of resources for expenditure.
5. Review all financial reports against expected outputs based on the agreed work plan, and correlate financial reports with program reports. Advise and propose corrective actions as necessary, including the re-phasing of activities and budget.
6. Look-over records pertaining to assets and consumable items. Ensure involvement in local procurement and ongoing evaluation of project.
7. Prepare inter office and bank reconciliation.


Necessary qualifications:

· D-3 in Economic or degree in Accountancy or Business Administration from reputable university,
· At least 1 years of related experience
· Able to work with accounting software
· Excellent interpersonal skills, creative, highly motivated, and able to express ideas clearly.
· Excellent spoken and written English language skills
· Can work under pressure
